Cheesy Olive Toasts
Cheesy olive toasts is a delicious easy tapas recipe that is a must for all olive lovers! Toasted bread topped with a cheesy olive mixture with a drizzle of honey makes this a treat. It barely takes any time to make which is always a plus. A crispy cheesy bite this works perfect for get togethers, game days, on a charcuterie board or any event. You can even make it as cheesy as you like! I used Manchengo cheese and Spanish spices to make it feel like a more Spanish dish. You will love this and feel transported to Spain!
Happy Baking!

2/3 cup/3 oz chopped olives
1 cup/2.5 oz Manchengo cheese, grated
1/2 cup/1.7 oz Mozzarella & Parmesan cheese, grated
1/4 tsp Cumin powder
1/4 tsp Cayenne/paprika
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/4 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Pepper
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/8 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tbsp honey
Directions:
Preheat the oven to 360F.
Slice bread in thin slices and place it on a parchment lined baking tray.
Drizzle olive oil over the bread and bake in the oven for 6-8 minutes till the bread is toasty and golden brown.
In a mixing bowl, add the cheeses, spices- (cumin powder, paprika powder, salt, pepper, garlic powder, oregano, cinnamon) and olives. Mix together.
Put it on top of the baked toasts.
I like to slice some olives and place over the cheese olive mixture for presentation.
Bake for 4-5 mins till cheese is melted.
Drizzle honey over it.
Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes/Tips:
Use a bread like baguette, it toasts well.
If you don’t have manchengo cheese you can use a cheddar or pepper jack cheese.
I like chopping olives into small pieces for adding flavor.
I used green olives but you can use black olives.
Use a good quality olive oil for better flavor.
If you want to make it cheesier, go for it!
