In a bowl add the yogurt, egg, maple syrup, lime zest, nutmeg and mix together till combined.
Pour it in the wells in the bread.
Top with fresh mixed berries of your choice.
Sprinkle some nutmeg over it if you like.
Cook the breads, I prefer the air fryer . Airfry- 370F for 12-14 mins. Oven- 370F for 16-20 mins.
Take it out and let it cool for 3-4 mins. Sprinkle powdered sugar over it. Optional sprinkle some nutmeg and a pinch of sea salt.
Serve and enjoy!
Notes/Tips:
You can use breads like white, sourdough, Tuscan or even whole grain.
If you want even lemon Greek yogurt will pair well with the berries.
If you don’t want to use fresh berries you can use jam too.
If you can get smaller blueberries they look much cuter.
Let the custard cool before eating otherwise it’ll have a scrambled texture.
I love nutmeg in this, but you can use cinnamon if you like. I personally find cinnamon overpowering in this.
If you like, top with some whipped cream and serve.
