Vegan Pizza Spring Rolls

This is an easy recipe to make Vegan Pizza Spring rolls. A crispy shell filled with a flavorful pizza sauce and melted cheese which is a perfect bite! This is a delicious Vegan appetizer recipe you need to try! It is inspired by Disney Pizza Spring rolls but only Vegan so everyone can enjoy it! This was one of the Disney cart food I always wanted o try but they don’t have any meat-less option. Hopefully, they see this and start serving this recipe in the park.. lol. Quick to make and so flavorful these are delicious for any occasion and even for kid parties. You can make these from before and keep which makes it even easier.

Servings: 4-6 servings 

Prep Time: 10 mins

Cooking Time: 10 mins

Freezing Time: 10 mins

Total Time: 30 mins

Ingredients: 

  • 1 cup thick chunkier pizza sauce

  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 8-10 eggroll wrappers

  • 1 tbsp flour

  • 3-4 tbsp water

Directions: 

  1. Mix flour and water together to form a runny thin paste. This is the glue.

  2. Keep an egg roll wrapper on a work surface so that a pointed edge is towards you.

  3. Place about 2 tbsp of pizza sauce (depending on the size) leaving 1-1.5 inch from the edge. Sprinkle about 2 tbsp of cheese over it.

  4. Fold the edge (towards you) over the cheese. Brush the edges of the wrapper with the flour water mixture. Fold the sides over the cheese and then roll the wrapper over itself to form an egg roll. See the video for filling and rolling

  5. Let it freeze for 10 mins.

  6. Air fry/ Bake/ Deep-fry till cooked through.

  7. Enjoy warm! You don’t need a sauce with this!

Notes/Tips:

  • Make the pizza sauce a thicker sauce. A thin sauce will ooze out more easily. My recipe for pizza sauce is here.

  • Make sure the spring roll is well is folded and no edges opened up.

  • You can freeze and keep them in an airtight container for 2-3 months. Cook immeditaley no need to thaw.

  • Air fry- In a preheated airfryer, spray/brush some oil and cook at 360F for 8-10 mins flipping it mid way.

  • Bake- In a preheated oven, spray/brush some oil and cook at 370F for 8-12 mins flipping it mid way.

  • Deep fry- Deep fry in medium hot oil for 2-4 minutes till golden brown all over.
