Servings: 7-8 servings

Prep Time: 30-40 mins

Cooking Time: 20-30 mins

Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • 1 12 pack rolls- I used king Hawaiian Rolls

  • 3 tbsp melted butter

Burger layer:

  • 2 vegetable burger patties

  • 1-2 cheese slices

  • 2 tbsp ketchup/ maggi masala sauce

  • 1 tbsp mayo

  • Ketchup to garnish

Bun samosa layer:

  • 3-4 small samosas or 6-7 mini samosas

  • 2 tbsp cilantro chutney

  • 1 tbsp tamarind chutney

  • Sev to garnish

Vada Pav layer:

  • 2-3 Aloo vadas

  • 1 tbsp cilantro chutney

  • 1 tbsp tamarind chutney

  • 2 tsp dry garlic powder

  • Chopped coriander to garnish

Pav Bhaji layer:

  • 1 cup bhaji

  • 1.5 tbsp melted butter

  • 1-2 tbsp chopped onions

  • Grated cheese optional to garnish

  • 1 lemon to garnish

Directions:

  1. Scoop out the centre of each bun making a hollow space to fill in. Lightly brush the top with melted butter. Keep aside while you prepare the fillings.

  2. Burger layer- Prepare and cook burger patties. You can use store bought or homemade ones. For homemade, click here for the recipe.

  3. Pav Bhaji layer- Prepare the bhaji as you like. You can use homemade or store bought.

  4. Vada pav layer- Prepare and cook the aloo vadas. You can use homemade or store bought.

  5. Bun samosa layer- Prepare and cook samosas. You can use homemade or store bought.

  6. Assemble- Preheat oven to 350F. Since I used a 12 pack, each different layer was filled in 3 buns.

    • Burger layer- Mix ketchup and mayonnaise. In 3 of the buns brush the mixed sauce in the hollow part. Break and fill the burger patties in them. Break and fill cheese slices over it.Brush the remaining sauce over them and on top of the buns.

    • Pav Bhaji layer- Brush melted butter in the hollow part of 3 buns. Fill with slightly cooled bhaji. Brush butter over the buns.

    • Bun samosa layer- Brush tamarind chutney in the hollow part of 3 buns. Break samosas and fill in the buns. Brush with cilantro chutney.

    • Vada pav layer- Brush cilantro chutney in the hollow part of 3 buns. Break and fill vadas in the buns. Brush with tamarind chutney over it. Top with dry garlic chutney.

  7. Once all buns are filled, poke holes around the sides and edges with a toothpick. Brush with butter over all the buns and sides. Cover with foil and bake at 350F for 20-30 mins till baked through.

  8. Once out of the oven, top the garnishes over all the layers. You can use the suggested garnishes or use your favorites!

  9. Serve immediately with sides of sauces and chutneys and enjoy!

Notes/Tips:

  • Butter savory rolls work the best for this recipe.

  • You can make the filling for before and keep. Fill and bake before serving. Do not fill and keep from before or it can get soggy.

  • If you just want to do one filling, you can choose to that too!

  • Make sure you poke holes and brush butter so that it doesn’t dry out the bread.
