Pull apart cheesy garlic bread bombs

Pull apart cheesy garlic bread bombs are crispy little bombs filled with cheese. A crispy bread bite filled melted cheese. These are little bite size bombs baked in a pan to make it pull apart. I brush the bread bombs with garlic butter to give it that burst of flavor and it’s so yum. A fun side with your dinner or for get togethers. Kids and adults will love it. Serve with chili crunch or paste to spice it up if you like! If you like crispy cheesy food, you will love this!

Servings: 10-12 servings

Total Time: 1 hour

Ingredients: 

Garlic butter:

  • 40g unsalted butter, softened

  • 6-8 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2-1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2-1 tsp dried parsley

  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes

  • 1/8 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tsp salt as per taste

  • 1/8 tsp sugar

  • 1.5 tsp tabasco

Assembly:

  • 10-12 slices of soft white bread

  • 3-4 oz cheddar cheese cut into 20-22 cubes smaller than 1/2 inch

  • Dried parsley to garnish

  • Chili crunch or paste to serve with


Directions: 

  1. Garlic butter- In a mixing bowl add softened butter. Add minced garlic, garlic powder, parsley, chili flakes, pepper, salt, sugar, and Tabasco.

  2. Mix well till combined and it’s ready.

  3. Preheat oven to 385F.

  4. Prepare a 6/7 inch baking dish by placing parchment on it and brushing garlic butter on the insides of the dish.

  5. Cut the edges of the bread slices.

  6. Sprinkle some water on a bread slice and gently roll it to flatten it out slightly using a rolling pin. Don’t make it too thin or the cheese will burst out.

  7. Cut each bread slice in half.

  8. Gently push the edges of the cheese cubes to remove its points.

  9. Place a cheese cube on the bread slice and wrap the bread around the cube covering it completely.

  10. Roll each bomb into a circle.

  11. Brush some garlic butter all over the bomb and start placing it in the prepared dish. Place the bombs touching it each and don’t leave space between them.

  12. Once repeated for all slices and the dish is filled.

  13. If you want, put some cheese cubes in between the Bread bombs.

  14. Brush a little garlic butter over the bombs.

  15. Bake at 385F for 15-20 mins till it’s baked through, crispy and browned. If needed, broil for 2-3 mins to brown it.

  16. Let it cool for 2-3 mins and unmold.

  17. Sprinkle parsley over it and serve with chili paste or crunch.

  18. Serve immediately so the cheese is melted and warm.

Notes/Tips:

  • You can store the garlic butter in the fridge in an airtight container for 1-2 months.

  • Just sprinkle very little water. Too much water will make the bread soggy and it won’t wrap.

  • Make sure the bread wraps and covers the cheese well.

  • Don’t roll out the bread too thin.

  • Make sure it’s baked well. Don’t over bake it!
